OCHS Spay & Neuter Clinic

OUR MISSION
The Oktibbeha County Humane Society (OCHS) Spay and Neuter Clinic is committed to ending the unnecessary suffering and euthanasia of dogs and cats in Mississippi. We provide high-quality, affordable, and accessible spay/neuter surgeries and basic wellness services. OCHS is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
Your pet may qualify for reduced-cost spay/neuter surgery and vaccinations through a Banfield Foundation grant if any of the following apply:

  • You receive government assistance (SNAP, Medicare, SS Disability, WIC, Unemployment, Public Housing).
  • You meet income level requirements.
  • You are experiencing temporary hardship due to extreme medical expenses, natural disasters, or other causes.

Family Income Maximums:

  • $40,000 – 1 Person Household
  • $50,000 – 2 Person Household
  • $55,000 – 3 Person Household
  • $60,000 – 4 Person Household
  • $65,000 – 5 Person Household
    (Income limits increase by $5,000 per additional household member.)

COST

  • Dog (Male or Female): $50
  • Cat (Male or Female): $30
  • Rabies Vaccination: $5^

^ A rabies vaccination is required for any pet without proof of current vaccination, per Mississippi state law (required for animals 3 months and older).

Additional Discounts
Owners with multiple pets or an annual income below half of the family income maximum may qualify for further discounts.

We reserve the right to decline spay/neuter services if an animal’s age, health, or behavior poses a risk to the animal, our staff, or other patients.
